Convocatoria conjunta entre el Instituto de California para Medicina Regenerativa (CIRM) y la IATA a través de la Fundación Progreso y Salud (FPS) cuyo objeto es la financiación de proyectos de investigación en el área de la medicina regenerativa desarrollados por grupos de investigación con sede en California y grupos que pertenecen al Sistema Sanitario Público Andaluz. Los proyectos a financiar se han de centrar en terapias celulares y medicina regenerativa basados en los tipos celulares o medicamentos siguientes: • A cell therapy candidate that is derived from or utilizes hESCs, hiPSCs, neural stem or progenitor cells, directly reprogrammed cells, or any geneticallymodified stem cells (where the genetic modification is for the purpose of correction of a disease phenotype or is critical to achieve the therapeutic strategy). • A small molecule or biologic candidate that was characterized or generated through the use of any of the above human cell types. • A small molecule or biologic candidate that targets cancer stem cells or endogenous stem cells in vivo. • An engineered functional tissue candidate for implantation in vivo.
